The Custom Shop experience is the ultimate in customer involvement in the design and build process

Whether you’re starting from a classic shape, one of the Edwards ‘Originals’ or something entirely new, the Custom shop process takes the player on a journey from Drawing Board, to Sawmill, to Workshop, to Stage.

At every step of the process, the customer is guiding the the final build. Even parts of the build process such as shaping the neck is usually done with the customer in the workshop approving every cut. This is the process that has been the backbone of the Edwards guitars ethos for the last 20 years.

Historical replicas can also be reconstructed, built with amazing accuracy to the original specifications, right down to the pickups and electronics.

Design Services

Now, the workshop offers a renewed and updated design service. Digital design offers a new method for distance collaboration between you and the design process. Or if you’re an amateur builder, design as a stand alone process can provide you with the templates you need to build your own design and build your own instrument.
